We’ve all taken leaps of faith throughout our lives, from infancy to now. You just may not have realized it. When you first learned how to walk, you built up all that courage in that tiny little heart and decided that you wanted to join the ranks of those who walked on two feet. You took that leap of faith, and although you kept falling, you believed in yourself and you ultimately achieved your goal. Do those progressive steps sound familiar? Sounds like what highly successful individuals always say when they’re asked, “What’s the key to your success?” doesn’t it?
Then why is it that in our adult age we are more afraid to take those leaps? It is because we have become more aware of consequences and we analyze every single situation until we become paralyzed by it. And then nothing happens…
All too familiar? It’s scary to realize that we can go about our lives, living 70, 80, or even 100 years and live with tons of “what-ifs” or just living contently. It sounds like a lot of years, but it really isn’t! We’ve all looked back on time and wondered where the time has gone.
So, what’s the key to really making life count? Believe in yourself, again. Your faith in yourself is your greatest weapon. Believe in your abilities and maximize it. I believe that more times than not, it is you that is hindering absolute happiness and success. When you believe in yourself and make decisions based on that, you may or may not be able to predict the end result. If it happens to end up bad, at least you know that you tried and nobody can ever take that away from you. But, you better get back up and keep on believing in yourself.
