Above is a random picture from the Internet. It’s silly. It’s cute. But like people say, a picture is worth a thousand words and here’s how you can use this picture to help yourself and those around you grow.

Everybody, absolutely everybody, has a set of talents that they are meant to be shared with the world. Whether it’s a keen business sense or just simply having a giving and loving heart, these are all skills. With skills, everybody has the potential to share it with anyone that we could across. Again, we have the potential to share it, but how often have we taken the opportunity to do so? How often have you used your skills to help others grow? To teach others and mentor them to help them grow physically and/or mentally? If you’re given the gift of a certain skill, you shouldn’t keep it to yourself, but openly share it! It is one of the most rewarding experiences you will feel in life to know that you’ve made an impact, no matter how small, on another individual’s life. It’s an addicting feeling and when you do experience it, ensure you keep it going!

One wouldn’t normally consider having a good heart a skill, but this may be one of the best skills one can have. Why? Because you can be a mentor to help make this world a better place, one person at a time. If your good heart consists of helping others, then your personal stories and morals will drive others to develop a helping hand. What better skill than helping to drive good in the world?

As you develop the skills of teaching others, you will start to develop your own techniques for effectiveness and driving results. Here’s an absolute guarantee: if you are teaching a skill to an individual that is your passion, you will love every moment of it. Every progressive step your “student” takes is like winning the lottery (okay maybe not the lottery, perhaps $100 on a scratch off). The winning the lottery feeling you will get when you see you student accomplishing the ultimate goal! When you teach, ensure that you help the individual progress. Show them those same small milestones that you accomplished in order to acquire the skill that you have now.

So realize today what your skills are that you would like to share with the world. From here, start making a difference in the lives of others. You will quickly realize that it will make a dramatic positive impact on your own life as well!
