“If you want to do it, all you have to do is do it.”
Many people would read the above statement and respond back with, “Well, isn’t that obvious…?” It is very obvious, but people tend to not actually follow this simple statement. How many times have you said:
“I’ll just do it tomorrow”
“I’m too lazy right now”
“Ehh, it’s not THAT important”
“No worries, I’ve got time”
Procrastination is a weakness. When you procrastinate, you put off what you can and should be doing today, especially when your excuses are weak like the ones above. The opposite of procrastination is productivity, and why not use your spare time wisely in becoming a productive person that actually does just do it.
Is it wise to wait for a wake up call or a time in your life when you’ve just hit a wall to actually decide to do something about it? Certainly not, but too many of us do this. It’s unhealthy for us, so consider this video and entry your wake up call.
Whether you’ve been holding off to lose weight like the man in the video or been wanting to make an impact in your community, take this time to do it. Start small. Create small achievable goals. With every milestone you accomplish (and yes, you should consider even the smallest goals achieved to be personal milestones), you should feel alive and great about yourself. Be proud of your progress and what you’ve done. There will always be set backs, but do not be discouraged. Simply take it head on as an additional challenge! Then, over time, you will accomplish the ultimate goal you’ve set out for yourself. Always remember that in order to achieve your ultimate goal, you have to take small strides of victories to get there. It’ll keep you motivated versus being intimidated and discouraged by the full big picture. These words are very true and if you believe it, you can become a very productive individual that will accomplish absolutely anything you want.
Need an example of this…just watch the video again.
